3、ebaseprotocolschemetosupportmobility.TheseextensionsarebasedonthecomponentintheIETFNextStepsInSignaling(NSIS)protocolideaofdiscoveringQoS-awarenodesalongthedatapathbystacktosupportavarietyofsignalingapplications.Inthispaperusingend-to-endaddressedmessages(mostlyequippedwithwep

4、resentourstudyontheprotocoloverheadandperformanceaspectsofGIST.Wequantifynetwork-layerprotocoloverheadaRouterAlertoption)thatdeliverQoSparametersandrelyandobservetheeffectsofenhancedmodularityandsecurityinona?owidenti?ertoselectasignalingsessionstate.InGIST.Wedevelopeda?rstope

5、nsourceGISTimplementationaddition,protocolcomplexityhasbeenissuesespeciallydueattheUniversityofGottingen,andstudyitsperformanceina¨tothesupportformulticast?ows[20].ThesedesignprinciplesLinuxtestbed.AGISTnodeserving45,000signalingsessionshavebeenasourceoflimited?exibility,secur

6、ityandmobility.isfoundtoconsumesmallamountsofCPUandmemory(onaverage1.1msforprocessingasignalingmessageand2.4KBMoreimportantly,althoughtheseapproachesindividuallymaymemoryforasession).IndividualroutinesintheGISTcodearemeettheneedsofcertainsignalingpurposes,theylackaninstrumente
