2、s.Theyhavetheirownperspectivesinsolvingproblems,butallofthemhaveacommoncharacteristicthatconsidersproblemsindifferentlevelsandhasthesimilarofthinkinglikehumanbeing.Theadvanceofontologydecreasesandeliminatesconfusionofdomainconceptandterms,makingbaseofsystems,whichcommunicate,sharewithandmani
3、pulateeachother,anditsolvestheproblemofknowledge’sshareandreuse.Thisthesisproposesanewgranularcomputingmodel,ontologygranularspacemodel.Thebasicideaofthemodelisbasedonthehumanabilitythatis,peoplecanabstractorsynthetizetheknowledgeanddatarelatedtospecialtaskstodifferentdegreesorsizesgranules,
4、andaccomplishthetaskswiththehelpsofthegranulesandrelationsamongthem.Themainresearchesandcontributionsasfollows:(1)Wemainlydiscusstheissuesaboutthedefinitionofontologygranules,therelationsamongontologygranules,thecompositionanddecompositionofontologygranules,theformulatingofthemodels,modelcon
5、structingmethods,andthefeaturesandpropertiesofontologygranularmodels,etc.(2)Proposethegranularcomputingmodelbasedonontology.Themodelisconstructedbasedonontologysimilarrelations,anditiscomposedwithfourparts:ontologysystem,similarrelationsystem,transformationfunctionandnestedtolerancecoverings
6、ystem.Themainfeaturesofthemodelfocusonthedefinitionofontologygranulesandtheproblemsolvingmethodswiththehelpofthehierarchicalandnestedstructureoftolerancegranularspaces.(3)AnalgorithmnamedGrc-Searchforthemodelapplyingtothetextretrievalisdesigned,andexperientsillustratethatitcanreducebothtimec
7、omplexityandspacecomplexity.Basedonabovefruits,wehaveaconclusionaboutthetheoryandapplicationsofontologygranularspaces.Besides,someproblemsinthemodelandourfutureworksareproposed.KeyWords:Ontology,GranularComputing,OntologySimilarity,OntologyGranules
