3、microbialmetaboliteswereisolatedfromactinomyceteshabitat.Outoftotal110actinomycetesisolatedfromrhizo-(Monchevaetal.2002).Mostcommonantibioticproducingsphericandnon-rhizosphericsoilofIndoGangeticPlainssoilmicroorganismsbelongtothegenusStreptomyces;(IGP)ofIn
4、dia,9isolatesexhibitedaggressiveantagonismabouttwo-third([4,000)ofnaturallyoccurringantibiotics,againstRhizoctoniasolani,screenedthroughdualculture,suchasaminoglycoside,anthracyclines,chloramphenicol,welldiffusionandsealedplatetechnique.Maximumgrowthb-lact
