4、yoranother,helpedmeallthetimeinthecompletionofthisthesis.摘要“委婉語如此深深地嵌入我們的語言,以至于我們中間沒有誰(即使那些自詡為直截了當(dāng)?shù)娜?能夠在不使用委婉語的情況下過完每一天的”。(Rawson,1995:1)很久以來,很多學(xué)者從修辭學(xué),語義學(xué),語用學(xué),社會語言學(xué)等角度對英語委婉語都各冇特色,但從認(rèn)知角度進(jìn)行研究的卻很少。因此本文試圖從概念整合理論出發(fā),通過框架和映射二個視角來探討英語委婉語的意義生成機制和解讀過程。文章所用語料兒乎全部出口國內(nèi)一部最權(quán)威的英語委婉語詞典:劉純
5、豹教授所編《英語委婉語詞典》,希望能給英語委婉語認(rèn)知研究捉供更加冇力的語料來源。全文共分為五章。第一章主要是論文的研究目的,意義,委婉語認(rèn)知角度研究的文獻(xiàn)綜述,以及論文的結(jié)構(gòu)。笫二章概述英語委婉語的定義,歷史,動機,以及構(gòu)成。第三章主要介紹概念整合理論。第四章通過概念整合理論中框架(Frame)和映射(Mappings)—個視角,結(jié)合實例對英語委婉語的意義生成機制和解讀過程進(jìn)行具體分析。第五章是對全文的總結(jié)。通過分析,我們得知:在概念整合理論指導(dǎo)下,憑借框架(Frame),映射(Mappings)二個視角,很多英語委婉語都能得到很詳盡的認(rèn)
