2、Althoughcoronaviruseswerefirstidentifiednearly60yearsago,theyonlyreceivednotorietyin2003whenoneoftheirmemberswasidentifiedastheaetiologicalagentofsevereacuterespiratorysynd
3、rome.Previouslytheseviruseswereknowntobeimportantagentsofrespiratoryandentericinfectionsofdomesticandcompanionanimalsandtocauseapproximately15%ofallcasesofthecommoncold.ThisReviewfocusesonrecentadvancesinourunderstandingofthemechanismsofcoronavirusreplication,interactionswi
4、ththehostimmuneresponseanddiseasepathogenesis.Italsohighlightstherecentidentificationofnumerousnovelcoronavirusesandthepropensityofthisvirusfamilytocrossspeciesbarriers.Coronaviruses,agenusintheCoronaviridaefamily(orderencodeanadditionalhaemagglutinin-esterase(HE)pro-Prothr
