3、avewealthyspecialtyknowledge,higheraccomplishmentofinformationandhigherEnglishlevel.Amongthem,oralEnglishisveryimportant.ButthepresentEnglishteachinginmiddleschoolsisfarawayfromrealizingthisgoal.InChina,mostmiddleschoolstudentshavepoororalcommunicativeability.“
4、DumbEnglish”isperplexingmostEnglishteachersandstudentsofhighschool.Apartfromtheproblemsteachershave,theenvironmentisalsoanimportantproblem,becauseoftheunawarenessoftheimportanceofspeaking,studentsdon’thaveenoughchancestopracticetheiroralEnglish.Thelackofatmosph
5、ereisthemostimportantreasonoftheirpoororalEnglish.Aseveryoneknows,“Practicemakesperfect!”Withoutpractice,howcantheybecomeperfect?Becauseofthat,studentsdon’thavethehabitofspeaking.Whentheyareacquiredtospeak,manyproblemsappear,suchas:theirhandsandfeetaretrembling
6、,thetuneoftheirvoiceischanging,thesentencesareindisorder.Manyofthemjustreciteinsteadofspeak.studentsthemselvesareblamefortheirpoororalEnglish.BecauseoftheactualitiesofChineseteaching,therequirementsoforalEnglisharemuchlessthangrammar,listening,readingandwriting
7、.Somanystudentsdon’tpayenoughattentiontoit.Forexample,whenstudentsareaskedofthefourskills---listening,speaking,16readingandwriting,whichoneisthemostimportant,manywillchoosereadingandgrammarwithoutanyhesitation.Fewstudentswillchoosespeaking.Anotherinvestigations
