3、knownfortheirhighpotentialforinterspeciestransmission,includingzoonotictransmissionwithbatsasreservoirhosts.Forthe?rsttime,agroup2CoVwasfoundinabat,Pipistrelluspipistrellus,inEurope.Thisisofparticularinterestforpublichealthasthereservoirhostisaspeciesthatiscommontourb
4、anareasinmostofEuropeandnotoriousforitscloseinteractionswithhumans.Fourverspertilionidbatspecieswerefoundtoexcretegroup1CoVs,viz.Myotisdaubentonii,M.dasycneme,P.pipistrellus,andNyctalusnoctula.Thelastspeciesisanewlyidenti?edreservoir.Theoverallprevalencewas16.9%andpos
