5、erhavebeendulycompleted.16摘要幽默是人類文明與社會發(fā)展的標(biāo)志，在人際交往中的作用是獨一無二的。它是一種人生智慧，也是一種潤滑劑。國內(nèi)外學(xué)者大多關(guān)注言語幽默的語義特征，語用方面的研究相對缺乏。而禮貌是維系人與人交往的工具和手段，是一種社會規(guī)約，相關(guān)研究成果頗為豐盛，Brown和Levinson的面子理論及Leech的禮貌原則在語用學(xué)領(lǐng)域較為突出。本文從《老友記》中隨機選取語境來分析幽默產(chǎn)生的原因，重點探討通過違反禮貌原則產(chǎn)生的幽默效果。這將有利于英語學(xué)習(xí)者更好地理解幽默，有利于激發(fā)其學(xué)習(xí)熱情，有利于提高其跨文化交際能力。關(guān)鍵詞：言語幽默；禮貌原則；面子理
